I cut that section out of my 71, clamped a piece of new sheet metal over the original hit it with a torch until it was cherry red and worked it into shape with a body hammer and pick using the old piece as a form.
Never done an iota of body work and it came out perfect. Not kidding.
Watch that Hotrod cd series where they build the 70 Chevelle. He has a whole section on duplication of non reproduced parts. It really wasn’t that difficult.
