Here's the engine that was previously in my gto
Block: '77 400 bored .30 over 2 bolt mains with ARP studs
TRW forged pistons
Speed-pro moly rings
Stock rods, ARP bolts
Stock crank, .020/.020 under
fully balanced assembly
high volume oil pump
homemade crank scraper
Heads: '67 670's bone stock
stock rockers
crane dual valve springs
Cam/lifters: Summit 2802 224/234 @.050 .465/.488 lift 114 LSA
dynomax headers (didn't fit the gto very well)
3" full exhaust
Summit fully welded mufflers
HEI with accel supercoil, taylor wires
MSD 6al
milodon water pump
MT covers
Performer RPM intake
Holley 750 vac. secondaries
With the timing dialed in, it ran good on super unleaded. Tough, rowdy sounding idle, but very streetable. Strong idle with plenty of vacuum, lots of low-end torque and it really started to scream above 2500.
I never ran this engine at the dragstrip... but I can say it was a very fun street engine in my 4 speed 67 GTO with 4.10 rear gears. My guess is it would be capable of somewhere in the 14's or maybe 13's in the quarter.
