Why even change it? Do like my boss with regards to servicing my Freightliner truck, 390,000 - oil and filter changes costs the company money and reduces his yearly bonus if he increases company equipment spending. We don't change oil or filters, just add oil when it gets a gallon low. The oil is a bit thick & black, but the oil pressure is still good and it doesn't burn it, so rings must be OK. Just keep your RPM's low to keep wear down. This way draining the oil hot, warm, or cold never comes up as an overthought issue or in conversation.
