Its a really good Proven Combo, Dave has Tested a lot of stuff on the Dyno,Street, and Track to come up with these Combinations that work "out of the box"
With a Typical 455-474 cid motor with the 295cfm SD Kre D ports, Old Faithful cam, 1.65 rockers, Rpm intake and 950 holley or 850 Q Jet and nice 1-3/4 4 tube headers
This combo really Excels at Average HP and Tq but peak you are going to see anywhere from 540hp to 565hp at 5600-5800rpm and 580-610tq at 4600ish rpm
With a Ported Torquer 2, 11.00:1 or higher compression, Solid roller lifters you are going to see 575-610hp at 5800rpm and 600+tq at 46-4800rpm with well over 300hp at just 3000rpm! This is my experience with this combo.
I built a 470 4.195x4.25 engine with 10.2:1 compression
Edelbrock Heads i ported then Dave did more to them they flowed 322in at .650 and 244ex at .650 lift
Old Faithful i installed it on a 110ilc and ran 1.65 rockers just on the intakes and 1.5's on the exhaust
Fully Ported RPM intake with a Shop Pro systems 950 carb 1" open spacer
Hooker 2" supercomp headers and we ran my fully ported manifolds too
It Made 568hp at 56-5800rpm and 588tq at 4600rpm and 538hp and 568tq with HO manifolds FWIW
Thanks for the info...did you see any dyno pulls with a rpm and a torker 2 back to back on a similar engine?
