I think it will be just fine, smooth , broad power band and great match to the stock compression ratio. They are 212/225 @050 115 LSA I believe. The low first gearing of a 57 Pont automatic should more than compensate for any weak off idle TQ if that is a worry. Glad you got quiet stock lifters, I would hate a ticky non loping engine. I think new style Stainless Steel valves help on the Unlead fuel thing. I have NEVER put hardened seats in my old Pontiacs and never had a problem except in my feelings for them being added when I tore down some 670's that had that done and it looked terrible and messed up the flow of a stock head with all the mismatches and difficult to blend it since the seats are so freaking hard compared to the cast iron. The 068 compares to what was used in the Trophy 425-A 389 Tri Powers around 60-61 I believe
