I started working on the rear this weekend. The QP kit included an install kit from USA Standard gear. I noticed the pinion gear doesn't have smooth surfaces where the bearings go, it has a rough coating. Also, I think the end of the pinion is marked for depth but I'm not sure about the numbers. It has 2.57 which is close to what I measured for the old one, 2.604, but shouldn't it be carried out to the thousandth of an inch? There is also a number 162, not sure if that is related.
