My 70 also had the vent top front, passenger side I believe. Small length of hose attached to the underbody with some fiber material jammed/stapled in the end. I think my 69 does as well but cannot recall.
Wouldn’t that allow the tank to vent to the outside if the filler neck one was removed/not there?
Or does each vent serve a specific purpose? I know the filler neck one loops into trunk area and then back out.
