just reading this, and I have a small question;
I have a 1991 Chev half ton;
I seem to recall reading that this truck got a better transmission than earlier years.
A friend confirmed RPO's a while ago (he was the manager(?) of a parts department at the time);
I am seeing RPO 'MD8'
Wikipedia (which does have errors) says that the 4L80E was RPO MT1 - but then it goes on to say it was installed in 1991+ GMT400 trucks.
Without crawling under the truck - can anyone tell me if our truck has a 4L80E or 4L60E?
EDIT: I did some more digging, it reads as though the 4L80E was only with larger engines than mine. So mine should be(?) a 4L60E.
