WANTED: NE Illinois OHC6 mechanic
Hello all & Happy Easter,
I'm looking for a mechanic shop within 40 miles of Chicago who has experience with the OHC6 in my 1967 Tempest Sprint... I'd sure like to see this return to the road while I'm still breathing & my heart's still pumping. What do I need done? Rebuilt water pump installed. Rebuilt "accessory box" (oil pump box) bolted-on. Distributor installed, new points, timed correctly. New radiator installed. New front grills (from Ames) installed. Nice front bumper installed. I have all these parts. Got screwed when someone took my $$ a few years ago, disassembled it then split. Been heartbroken since. I have minor physical handicap and could do alot but I don't want to chance it nor so I want to be screwed again. Called around & more than one suggested I take the OHC6 out and install a V8 but I'd rather keep it as close to original as possible. I just can't find the talent to do it.
