Not to long ago the story would be who has a blueprint? No one Ok painfully make one up from scratch $$$$$ Have someone convert a man made drawing to a diggie program $$$$$
Now CNC machines are even more capable iam not sure how many axis they are up to and you can wave a wand around a old part to create a build file
At first this kind of tech is expensive and few n far between but has become more mainstream if you watch the TV show Gunfather Restorations they remake stocks for old guns that come in in this fashion
It wont be as cheap as a box of cereal but far fewer hurdles and man hours than the past
