Yes. Once you have a new one in hand and your sure it's correct. Cut the old one off just above the nut. Then use a 6 point impact socket and a long 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar to remove. Should come right out.

Thanks again. It worked like magic. I notice that there is a restrictor in the threaded part of the nipple. Looks to be 1/4 inch hole. One half the diameter of the threaded nipple, approximately 1/2 inch.
