What did I do today? I won the dumbazz award.
Last weekend I wanted to check all my taillights, turn signals, headlights, ect. I hopped in the car ( which was in reverse because it’s a 4 speed) turned the key so that turn signals would work, then hopped out to check the lights. I noticed the reverse lights were on now. Hmmm. Bad ground? Electrical gremlin? I couldn’t figure out how turning lights or turn signals on would cause back up lights to come on, totally different circuit.
So anyway I made that tonight’s dreaded project, as I know just enough to screw things up with electrical systems. Well, I guess I’ve been driving my other cars with automatic transmissions too much lately. Of coarse the reverse lights are on if the transmission is in reverse, which is where it always is when it’s parked!
Now to find something else to do.
