Maybe this has been discussed here before, sorry if I've missed it.
So I had a customer in my shop last Friday. Turned out he was a founder of a very large chain of panel shop repairs, he is now retired but still has an active interest in the company.
Told me that at present, any EV that is presented to them for a repair quotation, unless the damage is superficial, ie, fender, hood, doors, trunk lid etc, they currently will not accept the car into the shop. ANY form of compromised damage to the frame or the electrics, they just don't want to know in fear of future liability issues.
He did concede that in the future with the number of EV's mounting up on the road its inevitable that policy will have to change but until they have the legal disclaimers watertight,
NO EV's accepted for heavy repairs.
I found that interesting.
