It looks like someone fired up a big cutting torch to remove the divider section.
I cannot imagine that would help airflow or power output, especially on a stock engine carb setup.
Jeff was that intake on the motor used in the Scout? I noticed it was running a cool can on the fuel line. Have not seen one of those in years.
Do you know what kind of racing it was used for? Mud-Bogger?
