Flushing and blowing air through a filter mesh will remove most of the particular debris but not all and after each cleaning there will be more particular matter not completely removed. These filters catch much smaller particles than spin on throw away filters.
And the flow rate/ lack of pressure drop is incredible. Much, much higher flow rate.
They are FFA approved, lives depend on them.
