Bunkie Knudsen quote, " I can sell a young mans car to an old man, but I can't sell an old mans car to a young man".
These words were allegedly spoken prior to removing the Silver Streak stainless steel suspenders from Pontiac in 1957. Pontiac should have painted that slogan on the walls of corporate headquarters, and lived by them.
IMO, truer words were never spoken.
If Buick succumbed, it would be poetic justice.
I couldn't even fathom how many times I've heard someone say that to me since they announced in 2009 that they would be killing off Pontiac in 2010. Evidently few people in the general public thought it was a stellar idea either.
