I agree, some nice stuff Hoov-D. We are alike in our background. Much of it is just trial, error, learn from it, and then you have the experience.

Personally, I hate body and paint work, and would rather do the mechanical stuff and turn wrench's.

But the Body and Paint will make or break the car, esp at the car shows.

I used probably all the different types of paints, from Lacquer, to Imron, to Enamels, to the latest Acrylic Urethanes.

I built the Camaro attached, mostly fiberglass panels, and did the Baldwin Motion paint thing. In custom mixed Radiance Lacquer to boot. Yeah - not very durable, but easy to work with.
Newer cars, like my 5th Gen Camaro, just need a good buffing out, and Meguiars wax.
