I use that cam on a 462 (6x-8 heads, long branch manifolds, 800 cfm Q-Jet with 3.23 posi)but with factory rockers. The caveat is that it’s in a ‘70 Catalina wagon that weighs 5000 pounds. Jim Hand recommend it as it’s built to maximize torque. It idles fantastic and I suspect that with 1.65 rockers the lift would extend the RPM range out a bit. Sounds like a good idea if you want a stock type idle and better torque and horsepower than an “068”. I’m a fan of Rhodes lifters but not an 041 cam. For street driving I bet the 2800 with 1.65 rockers will be excellent.
