Both I suppose.

I read a few times that your not suppose to fill to the top there should be like 3" from the top. My level is always like 4" or lower in the radiator. This radiator is not stock its some dirt cheap summit one. It does have a 16lb cap. I do plane to change it at some point to one of the 15" stock style Aluminum ones. But for now I would just like to see if the coolant level with stay to the top if I have a recovery tank.

There a few generic ones I see and a few more fancy aluminum ones. No space to put it on the outside the rad support. I like the plastic one since I can see the level. Just looking for something ideas.
