If you are aware of some of the history of the other block mentioned elsewhere in this thread, you will find that the other vendor did not exactly go to the "ends of the earth" to resolve issues of their own making. Rather, they went to court to sue the individual that publicly revealed problems with their block.
It's old news, but those of us who know about that deal will never forget it, and I would bet almost anything that anyone familiar with that deal would go to AllPontiac over the other vendor if they wanted an aftermarket Pontiac block.

I know all about it and that was the old first casting MR1 I remember the butter block days very well . The new MR1 is not that block. No ends of the earth was ever need with this block because it has not failed Like the IA2 has.Just Facts please
