HIS - Once I get it running on corn juice, I might hire the chassis dyno down the road and do some sweeps to see if I can tune the curve a bit better because at the moment it's just flat 38 from 3600-7000. Most engines i've done will respond very well with adding a few degrees or taking a few away at different RPM points to hang onto MBT. My E-Heads are the old bathtub chamber type so i'm not at all surprised that it loves timing.
I just looked at the timing map again and between 3200-3600 i'm commanding 40deg at WOT. Theory was to try and yank on the converter a bit harder out of the hole as it's flashing to about 4000 but the converter i'm not touching until I get the 80e box built. Whether having my timing curve set like it is, it kind of works I think but i'll mess with at a later date. It 60's pretty good like that for a heavy thing with a tight converter!
