If you wind up shipping things somewhere, I can recommend a guy who does a great job of straightening and polishing stainless trim, I think in a Rochester NY suburb (I could look it up). The only trim strips I could find for the sides of my '59 GMC bed (rare option) were folded up in a junkyard pile. Somehow, he made them look like new! I think it cost me about $1 per inch (which I gladly paid), but that was a few years ago.
