With the same cam/heads my car runs well with 91 octane , never tried anything less. However, when running less than 93 Octane from the local BP station, I do experience engine run on or diesleing. Base timing is 12 degrees at idle, so not entirely sure what is up with that... 93 takes care of it, so have not pursued any other remedies.
