Drove 40-50 miles on the slicks today. I was shocked at how nice the ride was. The Towel City slicks seem fairly soft. I do like the look. Running them on 30lbs for now. These 8" slicks are not quite as wide but slightly taller than the 235/70/15 Firestone Indy Firehawks I had on before. 8.5" slicks would be a perfect size. For reference, my rear wheels are 7" with 4.5" bs. Driving through the summer season will be a true test. Might even make a run down the track. It's been awhile since I've done that.
