I'll take pics of what I did to my 67. I welded a huge nut to the top of the UCA, and threaded a bolt thru that. The bolt hits the bump stop during full extension. I added a second nut to lock the bolt where I wanted it.
Keep in mind that the purpose of the stop is to keep the car from hanging the hoops 2 feet in the first place.
