What I'm loosely referring to as a body number is really more of a job number.
It follows the build from start to finish and is listed on the Bsheet as well as trim tag.
011668 on your 09B vs. 269517 on an 04D example.
18 0126 would also be listed on Bsheet.
18 is supposed to be the build sequence for that day or shift.
0126 supposedly the body buck carrier jig number.
The 04D example has number 74 0665.
00781 is your actual Lemans Hdtp Body #
04D is # 19326
A51 is bucket seats
18 might be Console
4 might be Vinyl Top
The stamped 11 , idunno
11 is also a code for White Paint, but can't think of anything right off hand that would need to be cut in with white paint on your car.
It meant something to somebody though.
And your car had a lot of White parts.
04D car had no vinyl top, no 4, and no stamped numbers.
