The outer part slides on without any pressure at all. I thought that it might need to use the threads inside the outer piece for some grip! I know the inner part will expand the hose but wasn't sure if this was a correct fit! I'm not sure if the next smaller size will fit! That would be going from 11/16" od to 5/8" od. fitting.
