Torque rods 71 Firebird trunk
Does anyone here have positive experience installing new torque rods?? I have bought 2 sets and neither will hold up the trunk more than 1/2 way,this is without the spoiler installed. I even tried an original passengers side rod I have(thicker than the drivers side and larger diameter than the repo) and it will not work any better. The rod for a spoiler has the passengers side a larger diameter.It is almost like my set up needs a larger diameter rod for the drivers side like the passengers side. Has anyone here installed new rods,with a spoiler, and had them hold the trunk up with a spoiler installed?? thanks for reply's..
