Maybe its just me, but I've found myself in a position, many times, where I had to step up for the last wheel to complete a date matched set of good date JW's.
Been putting together & selling date matched sets for over 22 years, On JW's alone, have united 13 sets I pieced together to end use owners. Have shipped 4 sets & a few singles to "June & July"
guys. A Formula owner needing a set of 5/25's paid me the same as owners of three RAIV T/A's (that were straight with me). In the late 80's through mid 90's, when I was hitting it hard, could usually ind & buy a dozen singles or mixed date small center "T/A" wheels a year. Deals like $10-20 a piece JW's, & even $8-15 XT's, & $5 LZ's were out there in old yard wheel racks & wheel stacks. Those days are gone.
