Here's a working-paper cross-sectional view of my eventual DOHC setup for the M/T hemi heads. Note the "phantom" cam followers, with "invisible" bodies. My search for existing roller-element followers reached a dead-end, so I'll probably need to fab them from billet. Depending on how I restrain the rockers laterally, I might need to forego one of the rollers, either at the lobe or at the valve tip. Although I plan to use solid anchor/adjusters, a person could also utilize hydraulic anchors with this design.

The largest piece to fab is the 1 3/8" thick aluminum plate to bolt on top of the head. But the elevated rocker cover rail will mimic the original one, so that a normal old-hemi cover (M/T casting or whatever) can be used- with modification to let the cam snouts protrude out the front. Back when I originally thought about converting my hemi V8, I liked the fact that it would have pretty much retained its outward appearance- just with the rockers covers sitting 1 3/8" higher.
