Great info and pics John. Are you certain that this is not an original re-skinned hood? I know that you are "dialed in" on 69 T/A hoods. The reason I ask is that the top skin does look like it has been around for a while. Additionally, when many guys re-skin these original hoods, they peel the sides and front back to separate the inner and outer structure. This would explain the loss of the sharp edges and improper spot welds. Many people were not aware that the 67 understructure is different from the 68-69 and I know of a few hoods that were reskinned with the wrong understructure. Believe me, I am in no way doubting the inferiority of the repro. I just thought that this one looks a little aged and the repros just came out.
