Starter Bolts...
Monkey, the stock Pontiac starter bolts are 3/8-16 x 4-3/4" in length and are knurled on the ends, this length is for the stock delco starter.
If this is the starter you are using why not buy the correct bolts from PY or Ames.

Ames part number for starter shims #FN-404
Some of the mini starters on the market may use different length bolts but they should be included with the starter.
