I took (2) 2x8''s. cut them 3'-0" or so. then ripped about 1" off the edge on one end of both of them. This was to clear the front of the oil pan and timing cover. Then I spread them apart, about 10" or so. I then took (2) other pcs. and put them on edge, perpendicular to the those (2) pcs. and srewed them together, so the oil pan fit between the opening fairly tight,side to side. It rested on the flange of the oil pan. I put a strap over it, on the back of the pickup. I have my old engine sitting on it in a corner of the garage. It looks like an "I" with a space between the middle. Simple to make.
