Right, duh, that was my point - there's a high pressure region at the base of the windshield, but the center of the hood is a low pressure area. If you want to use a forward-facing hoodscoop in the middle of the hood, you have to lift it way up above the hood - ala pro stock. The original GTO scoop was purely cosmetic. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
I'm 50+, and this information is older than I am. It is no secret that the scoops were purely ornamental
