I just got my new Edelbrock heads in the mail today and they should be the same, both have the number 60579 on the box.
But they dont exactly look the same and have diverent casting numbers "D-215-49" and "D-215-49"
Could this be an old and a new casting?
The cambers are machined the same but look diverent and the shims under the valve springs are diverent also.
The one head "D-215-49" seems to have a 3 angle valve job and the "D-215-46" does not.
I also found a couple of pieces of aluminium in side the runners that would have hurt my new engine.
Can anybody tell me more about the diverence between the two castings.
Thanks.
