Interesting I just checked my 65 service manual...

Interesting I just checked my 65 service manual on the 6 cylinder it show from hole to hole but on the V8 as dId shows . well mine must be wrong and so is my 64 . I just had the tranny out of that...

65 Z Bar to Fork spring

On the original exhaust pipe flanges there is a hole the spring goes in then back to the hole in the clutch fork . Hope this picture helps .
