Hughes does offer a full manual control 4L80 for those that don't want the controller costs, you just use a toggle switch for the lockup converter.

Yeah Joe, to get a good read on timing and fuel you need a brand new plug, run it WOT and shut it down.

Plugs that have been run a while, lots of idle time, and just general around town...
