I know it shouldn't run but just throwing that out there as a difference between chevy and pontiac. Should have the same firing order like mentioned before.

Thanks to a fellow member here, I got hooked up with an original water pump for my 73 Formula, with a cast iron impeller which looks pretty big, measuring about 4 3/8" diameter with 8 tapered vanes....

Okay thanks George. I'll put it back on the way it is, guess I am lucky, and out only one gasket :) since I didn't take the divider plate off, and it is still sealed onto the pump.
