I believe that position is #1 tdc when the plug...
I believe that position is #1 tdc when the plug fires. The 2 gaskets are for if you have a plastic insulator between the pump and timing cover.

Here's my setup. I got my hydro unit flipped 180 because I wanted the lines low. Might be tight if not flipped. I have no troubles with the valve cover, valve adj is doable also.70 GTO by the way.
