Oil is supposed to fly off the crank hit the tray once it hits the tray then it obviously stops flying around and gravity allows it to migrate...

After running a 2800 and 2801 and a 068 cam in a 350, The 2801 shouldn't be to much cam in your 400 with a stick it has more low end torque than a 068 and will have more legs than a 2800

Like connecting rods that are rated for HP should be rated for RPMs with a given weight on the end

you can take dist cap off and use a socket on front of crank rotate engine back and forth see how much crank turns before dist. easy peasy
