It's pretty simple. If you want it to run nice and predictable like your moms station wagon you use an AFB/Clone [or if applicable the original Qjet]. If ya wanna go fast you use a Holley.

It is nice to use fresh oil and rislone for initial start up and then drain and refill. Prior to start up it is nice to spin the fresh oil/oil pump with a drill. If you don’t know how to do that...

Working from memory here ... Often points don't need to be changed ..... If they are burnt they can be filed...... if they are burnt unevenly [more one side than the other] the condenser is bad .......
