I've used the the rear for setting idle for a few...

I've used the the rear for setting idle for a few years. I still get the odd funny look from guys when I'm changing my idle at the track using the rear. Both my carbs are set up with a nice knurled...

You wouldn't believe the amount of times I get asked carb size and I have to explain my 950hp. For a basically a box stock carb..other than a 50cc pump on the front it works pretty decent.

I haven't ran a choke for 25 plus years..normally a couple pumps to fire and hold at 2000 rpm or do a throttle tickle for 30/45 seconds..depends on temps..Over winter I'm putting a fast idle...
