I'm now running 455 block filled half way up water pump holes. Coolant temp never goes over 180 and oil temps see max 220 in 100+ deg weather during sustained high...

My experience with an oil cooler was no help to coolant temps but came with an 8 psi loss of oil pressure. I used a sandwich adapter at the filter and -8 lines to the cooler. Took much longer for oil...
