you may wana try an XE Comp cam, they are designed to work well in low Compression motors....have one in my 455 and its pretty...

Ya need to take the water pump and divider plate off and put the divider on to the back of the pump and look at the clearance between the plate and the pump vanes...if its more than about .060 thou...

My car did the Exact same thing as your at the track and on the street on wide open blasts...It would make a JAMES BOND smoke screen, and I had the same ambulance and clean up crew following me down...
