You'ed be surprised how running a motor long term at low rpm's , or short term but at high rpm with one cylinder fully dead can damage the main bearings , especially with a steel Crank!

It needs a minimum of 12 volts, but 14.5 is starting to get a little high in terms of boiling out the Battery.
