Different topic, are you simply trying to convert an AC car to non-AC style? Many parts are specific, but you can swap kick panels with the pull cables and doors if you can get the full set up....

I'd run a file across it all just to may flat, even if coating remains. The powdercoating can have a slight texture and waviness that doesn't seal in all situations.
