That sucks!

That's the thing with cast rods is if they fail, it's catastrophic. If you must use cast rods find some out of a 350 that had 2 series gears behind them, those rods were never stressed!

Is the check ball in place? I had a problem with a flat spot once and it turned out to be one of the squirt holes had some casting flash so I cleaned it out with a torch tip cleaner.

My wife doesn't kill brakes but all four rims are curb struck. It took forever to get her to NOT have her foot on the gas pedal when starting the car.
