68-72 are the same - I used a set of refinished upper and lower control arms off a 69 chevelle project for my 71 GP when I was rebuilding it.

This my 71 GP it was originally white with a blue dealer installed vinyl top - repainted it to Lucerne blue (GM color code 26) let me know if you need additional pics, putting the vinyl top on...

Questionable carb.

Did your mechanic state what the problems were that make it not worth rebuilding? Throttle plate worn, corrosion in the main body...? The Q-jet is a pretty easy one to overhaul and haven't seen...

Love the 69-70 GP's but these cars are impossible to find in my area let alone the northeast. Like my 71 but would kill for a black on black 69-70.

When compressed gasses are introduced into a vacumned system as a liquid it actually takes less volume to acheive...

That was what I was wondering about with your readings - first you are right about the POA valve assembly, a good indication the POA is failing is the low side pressure being high and the high side...
