Lubed the hood edge with petroleum jelly and slid it on with no scrapes. But, our sponsors hood edge stainless was about an 1/8" short. I had to carefully unbend the ends of the stainless at outside...

72 lemans rear hood chrome install tricks?

Is there anything one should know while trying to install the rear hood stainless trim on hood without shearing the new paint while sliding it on?
