My new ones looked and worked so bad, I made some of my own out of sheet metal. Looks and works good now.
It surprises me what they sell you.

I found the same issue with the doors on my 72...

I found the same issue with the doors on my 72 vert. I ended up making shims to get them to slid back more.

That reminds me of my 72 I'm finishing. I wish I would have had a nice lift like that though. I had to weld/bolt a bunch of supports so I wouldn't bend mine.
